Electrician

While any trade can offer a pathway to a secure future, the Electrician trade, or expertise in the electrical sector, stands out as one of the most crucial. In today’s fast-paced world, it’s nearly impossible to imagine a single day without electricity. As a result, there is a constant demand for skilled electricians, making this trade a key contributor to both personal growth and national progress.

By gaining knowledge in this field, individuals not only enhance their career prospects but also play an important role in the nation's infrastructure development. Upon completing training, if a government job is not immediately available, an electrician trainee can easily venture into starting their own workshop or even a startup, opening up new opportunities for success and entrepreneurship.

Eligibility

  • Minimum 10th grade qualification with 50% marks.
  • Age between 16 and 28 years.

Curriculum

Basic electrical knowledge, a brief knowledge about electrical machines their installation, operation, repairing and maintenance,machine rewinding etc.Basic electronics and operation, maintenance of electronic apparatus.

Career Opportunities

An NCVT-certified Electrician is eligible for various state, central government jobs or become entrepreneurs.

  • Trainees can work in electrical installation, operation, and maintenance.
  • They are also eligible to work as solar technicians, a rapidly growing field with stable job prospects.
  • Electricians can start their own business or launch a startup in the electrical sector.
  • They can engage in teaching as vocational trainers at skill training centers.
  • For those seeking further knowledge, after completing ITI, they can join State Polytechnic colleges through lateral entry and pursue a BTech degree.

    Food Production (General)

    1. Prepare food in Continental/Chinese Cuisines.

    2- Bakery items, desserts and Sweet Items.

    3-Prepare Salads, Sandwiches, Fruit Juices and other cold drinks.

    4- Carry out duties associated with preparation of meals.

    5- Preparation of Exotic Indian foods and planing of food menu

    6- Work with head cook and prepare season and cook soups, meat, vegetables and  other food stuff.

    7- Understand various types of vegetables cuts.

    8- Assist in exigencies and carry out first aid during emergencies.

    9- Maintenance of hygiene and cleanliness of kitchen, Kitchen equipment and                      cooking utensils.

    10- Apply safe working practices and comply with environment regulation and                         housekeeping .

    Solar Technician

    1- Understading manufacturing of solar panels, prepare and commision                       marketable solar products.

    2- Perform operations & maintenance of PV system.

    3- Assist in installation and commisssioning of Solar PV plant and hybrid plant.

    4- Perform various tests and mesurement pertaining to PV modules and their             intallation as per IEC rules.

    5- Prepare bills of materials for small, medium and mega solar PV projects.

    6- Connect and test solat panels, charge controller, battery bank and inverter.

     7- Connect, test, undertake maintenance and disposal of solar batteries.

    8- Construct and demonstrate solar DC appliances.

     9- Demonstrate charateristics of photovoltaic cells, modules, batteries and                 charge controllers.

    10- Perform basic electric energy calculations and understand transmission                and distribution of electricial power.

    11- Use of instruments for measurement of various electrical parameters.

    12-Assemble, install and test wiring system.

    13- Understand characteristics of electrcial and magnetic circuits.

    14- Prepare electrical wire joints, carry out soldering and crimping.

    15- Apply safe working practice, comply with environment regulation and                      prepare profile with an appropriate accuracy as per drawing.
